Components Provided In The Kit
Vitane Biologics CoVTect qualitative RT-PCR kit is intended for specific detection of 2019-nCoV. The primer and probe sets used with the test are designed to detect two regions of the SARS-CoV-2 single stranded RNA genome: E gene (an envelope protein) and RdRP (RNA dependent RNA polymerase) both of which are specific. All probes are labeled with unique fluorophores that are detected and distinguished within the same reaction.
Quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) is used when the starting material is RNA. In this method, RNA is first transcribed into complementary DNA (cDNA) by reverse transcriptase from total RNA or messenger RNA (mRNA). The cDNA is then used as the template for the PCR reaction.
The CoVTect diagnostic Kit is a real-time RT-PCR test intended for the qualitative detection of nucleic acid from the 2019-nCoV in upper and lower respiratory specimens ( such as nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swabs) and sera.
In early 2020, after a December 2019 outbreak in China, the World Health Organization identified SARS-CoV-2 as a new type of coronavirus. The outbreak quickly spread around the world.
Coronaviruses are zoonotic and are transmitted between animals to people.
Common signs of infection include fever, dry cough, tiredness and severe infection include shortness of breath or breathing difficulties, chest pain and loss of movement or even death.
At present there is no cure for COVID-19.
So, we recommend testing and detecting of COVID-19 through our RT-PCR testing Kit ( CoVTect™ ) a Multiplex – Single tube.
